This was a comic that has been on my list for quite some time now, I admire Kelly's writing because you can get the sense there are bits and pieces of her in the story. Even if it is satirical in nature, it is great to see how she pushes the notion of the patriarchal tyranny to an extreme and watch how these women persevere through their circumstances. I have read that she is controversial in the comics world, but to me that must mean these readers stick to an older tradition in female portrayal or just comic writing in general. Which is strange, because my first question is, "Aren't you bored yet?" and "Are you afraid of females writing their own stories?". The cast she has made has a great sense of depth made more so after seeing each one's backstory, connections can be made in each of them, my favorite was Penny's backstory.
